Vida at 601 E New York Street is a chef-driven fine dining restaurant just south of the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District. Craft Construction Management delivered a hospitality buildout tuned for a tasting-menu operation — open kitchen theater, custom chef's counter, specialty lighting, and acoustics engineered for an intimate dining room.

As an Indianapolis general contractor with a long track record on chef-partner concepts, we coordinated closely with the ownership team on every finish decision and equipment specification. Vida has since become one of downtown's most recognized culinary destinations.

Kitchen-first buildout

Fine dining kitchens are built before the dining room — the cook line, walk-ins, and plating window drive every wall location. Our project management team owned the kitchen coordination from pre-construction through final health inspection so the chef could train on her equipment weeks before opening night.
